CSC BoarderX is a Snowboardcross (SBX) Program that focuses on building athlete skills to succeed in snowboarding and in life. The program starts in November and runs through until the end of March. There will be ‘Camps’ offered throughout the summer, depending on interest. The goal of this season is to establish a Team of 5 riders and build up to 4 days of training per week for the 2010/2011 season. The 2009/2010 season will have a lot of focus on skill development and physical fitness with a priority of a strong and fun Team atmosphere. The Competition schedule will be selected to best suit the Athlete and Team. Most importantly, we aim to help realize our team rider’s goals and dreams in Snowboardcross.

CSC BoarderX provides support on and off snow. Today’s boardercross field is a very competitive at the highest level. To create success in this discipline, it’s almost necessary that a young rider joins a team to ensure they develop all of the key performance factors in order to produce results. The key performance factors that the program considers are:

  • Technical (on snow skill development, support in training and at competitions)
  • Physical (strength needs, energy requirements, nutrition/hydration, adequate rest/recovery, flexibility and activation)
  • Mental (confidence, relaxation, focus, ideal performing state, visualization, imagery and so forth)
  • Tactical (the strategies of riding tracks, qualifying, riding with others…)
  • Equipment (board tuning, testing, identifying the fastest, most appropriate gear for each and ergonomic specificity)
  • Environment (training/competing within a good team training environment)
